Veterinary Assistant

A large crocodile farm in Southern Province is seeking a qualified Veterinary Assistant to join their team. Experience with crocodiles is not essential, but a willingness and ability to learn quickly is necessary.

Minimum requirements are:

• Certificate or diploma in Animal Science from a recognised institution
• Excellent animal welfare knowledge
• Strong numeracy and literacy skills
• Computer literacy for data collection
• Proven ability to lead a team
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Ability to live in a remote location
• VAZ Membership

The following would be an advantage:

• Experience in wildlife veterinary fieldwork
• Fluency in Tonga and English
• Self-motivated
• Driver’s licence
