In line with our corporate priorities aimed at ensuring optimization of revenue cnllection and increased tax compliance on one hand and the need to effectively manage the numerous challenges and opportunities in the fast changing business environment on the other, we are seeking highly motivated, result-oriented and well-qualified and experienced professionals to fill the following vacancies under the Administration and Research & policy Departments.
1.0 SENIOR ECONOMIST – DATA ANALYTICS ZRA04 (1 )
Reporting directly to theAssistant Director — Statistics and Data Management, the job holder will be responsible for creating blueprints for data management systems to extract, transform, load, integrate, centralise, protect and maintain large data sets. She/He will effectively leverage ZRAdata platforms and big data technologies to deliver and construct processes for data management, discovery and data intelligence aimed at supporting the ZRA business through implementation of systems based controls and driving a data driven decision making environment for the purpose of achieving ZRA strategic objectives.
MAIN DUTIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Facilitates the design, development and support on ZRA data platforms that enable the delivery and construction of processes for the Data Management, Discovery and Data Intelligence, leveraging big data technologies;
- Facilitates the development, consolidation and warehousing of data from internal and external data sources;
- Facilitates capacity building in big data analytics at Division/Department and Corporate level to ensure consistent data analytics practices across ZRA;
- Facilitates implementation of data analytics related initiatives in conjunction with internal and extemal stakeholders;
- Manages a structured and agile data modeling development lifecycle and developing corporate level data analytic models for use by respective Divisions/Departments;
- Ensures excellent practices are utilized in providing strategic support to Data Analytics Management and Integration Solutions;
- Assists the Research and Policy Department to undertake various research surveys using digital platforms; and assist with developing codes for advanced data analysis. visualisation and reporting in a timely manner
- To provide complete, accurate and consistent information to internal and external stakeholders
- Liaises with relevant government ministries, departments and agencies to ensure accurate capture and reporting of external statistics
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Grade Twelve School Certificate/GCE Equivalent
- Degree in Economics or any other Relevant professional qualifications
- Certification in business intelligence, decision support systems or data modelling. Candidates with demonstrable coding experience in R, Python, SAS or SQL will be an added advantage.
- A Masters’ Degree in a related field will be an added advantage
- Minimum of three (3) years post qualifying relevant expenerice
