In line with our corporate priorities aimed at ensuring optimization of revenue collection and increased tax compliance on one hand and the need to effectively manage the numerous challenges and opportunities in the fast changing business environment on the other, we are seeking a highly motivated, result-oriented and well-qualified and experienced professional to fill the following vacancies within the Authority.
CONFIDENTIAL SECRETARY – ZRA06 (1 POSITION)
Reporting directly to the Executive Personal Assistant, the job holder will be responsible for assisting the Executive Personal Assistant and the Assistant Director Tax Appeals through the provision of high quality and timely support services which include secretarial work and office management.
MAIN DUTIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Arranges and files correspondence for the office of the Commissioner General in an orderly and systematic manner
- Compile and types letters and circulars for the Assistant Director – Tax Appeals
- Retrieves and provides information when need arises
- Assists in photocopying and binding of documents
- Assists and maintains an efficient filing system for both offices
- Maintains adequate office supplies such as stationery for the office of the Assistant Director Tax Appeals
- Maintains good relationships with both internal and external clients, senior management, Board Members and staff
- Undertakes reception duties for the Assistant Director Tax Appeals
- Attends to general enquiries for the office to facilitate good communication and dissemination of information
- When need arises Acts/Sites in for the Executive Personal Assistant
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate or General Certificate of Education Equivalent
- Minimum Typing and Shorthand speeds 55/100 wpm respectively
- Personal/Private Secretary’s Certificate/Secretarial Certificate
- Diploma in Secretarial/Management Studies/Business Studies or related field
- Minimum of three (3) years work experience in Secretarial, Administrative Role
- University Degree will be an added advantage
