EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
The Zambia Compulsory Standards Agency (ZCSA) is a statutory body under the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry. The Agency was established by the Compulsory StandardsAct No. 3 of 2017 of the Laws of Zambia. The Act mandates the Agency, among others, to administer, maintain and ensure compliance to compulsory standards for public safety, health and protection of both consumers and the environment.
VACANCIES
The Zambia Compulsory Standards Agency wishes to invite suitably qualified and experienced Zambian nationals to fill the following vacant positions:
DIRECTOR – FINANCE (01)
(A) KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- To effectively manage the formulation of financial management policies in order to provide a framework for prudent management of public resources.
- To timely manage the preparation and submission of financial management reports in order to comply with financial regulations and facilitate informed decision making.
- To timely coordinate the preparation of the annual budget in order to mobilise financial resources for the Agency.
- To effectively manage the monitoring of expenditure in order to ensure spending is in line within the approved budget and financial regulations.
- To effectively manage the development and implementation of internal controls in order to enhance transparency and accountability in the utilization of financial and material resources
- To timely manage risks in order to mitigate losses.
- To timely coordinate the preparation of responses to audit queries in order to facilitate development and implementation of appropriate interventions.
- To effectively coordinate collection of revenue in order to safeguard public funds.
- To timely coordinate preparation of the monthly payroll in order to meet conditions of services
- To periodically coordinate the maintenance of the asset register in order to safeguard public assets.
- To timely coordinate development of workplans and implementation of the Annual
- Performance Appraisal System (APAS) in order to monitor, evaluate and enhance performance.
- To effectively manage human, financial and other resources in order to facilitate achievement of departmental objectives.
(B) QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCEAND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
- Full Form V/ Grade 12 Certificate,
- Degree in Accountancy/ Full ACCA/CIMA or equivalent
- Minimum eight (8) years’ work experience with 4 years at Management level
- Good organizational and leadership skills
- Good analytical skills
- Good Communication skills- both written and oral
- High level of integrity and confidentiality, sober character, ethical and capable of working independently.
CONDITIONS
These positions are in Senior Management category and on three (3) year fixed term renewable contract.
