Description
Yalelo is looking for a highly motivated, energetic, and hard-working individual to fill the position of Stores Controller.
The mission of the job holder will be to:
- Co-ordinate and execute the receiving, storing and dispatching of products and to execute the administrative functions associated with these tasks in an effective and efficient manner while maintaining food safety policies and the quality assessment of products upon receipt and dispatch.
- Ensure that all inventory and stock management systems are maintained accurately, within the agreed parameters and in a timely manner.
- Maintain store standards as described in our SOP manual; this includes inventory management, cleaning, shelf/ stock presentation, shelf ticketing.
The Stores Controller will be based in the Lusaka and will assist in all aspects of Store control.
The Right-Fit candidate will have the following knowledge, skills and attributes:
- Knowledge in execution of all administrative related tasks and functions associated with the storage functions
- Based in Lusaka
- Dedicated team player who takes initiative, is detail oriented, organized and has proven ability to follow up tasks through to quality completion
- Quick thinking and able to self-manage
- Comfortable working with internal and external parties
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Knowledge of MS Office (including MS PowerPoint)
- Self-starter who is able to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work Monday to Saturday
Job Purpose:
- Inventory Control – Ensure all stores inventory and stock management systems are maintained accurately, within agreed parameters in a timely manner.
- Record Management – Complete all necessary documentation, checking and adjusting of all inventory data collection continuously. All records of stock transferred to other warehouses to be updated.
- Reporting – Complete timely and accurate reporting (at intervals specified by management). Report on Reconciliation of actual counts to computer generated reports.
- Teamwork – Foster collaborative working relations with other members of other departments. Implement improvement processes and systems to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
- House Keeping – Daily housekeeping of the stores room plus inventory stacked according at all time.
- SHEQ – Identify hazards and maintain a safe working environment. Demonstrate awareness of safety practices through all areas. Compliance with EHS practices and procedures. Demonstrate the safe and correct method of handling various types of materials.
The Essentials:
- Diploma or higher in Purchasing and Supply or any related field
- Computer literate
- Grade 12 Certificate
- More than two years’ experience in same or related industry.
- Experience working with ERP like sage evolution is an added advantage.
This is a full-time position and the successful candidate must be available to work weekdays and weekends.
