Kitchen/Bedroom/Custom Furniture Designer

Timber City are looking for a talented kitchen/bedroom designer that can create stunning creations using CAD applications.

Our ideal candidate will be responsible for serving as the client contact for all phases of the design process—from design development and field measurement to drawing, presentation, and administering designs in construction.

As the front line of our customer service team, will also be responsible for serving our retail customers in the selection of products that fit their needs from our portfolio of products—from fine cabinetry to custom furniture creations – From traditional designs and layouts through to the more modern/contemporary designs.

Essential Requirements:

• Having the education and familiarity with the overall design process as well as the ability to guide the production team in how best to turn the 3D designs into a real product (Cutting List)
• Strives to be the most informed and knowledgeable on the products that are offered.
• Has a professional demeanor and appearance and is able to work with contractors, architects, colleagues and homeowners alike.
• Able to work independently and meet self-assigned deadlines.
• Realizes that expertise is essential in eliminating mistakes and that any mistakes be resolved quickly and fairly to both customer and company.
• Ability to cultivate and maintain customer relationships to capture as much sales as possible.
• Must be able to follow up on assigned leads, as well as generate own opportunities through prospecting, cold calling, and networking.
• Will be organized and be able to juggle multiple projects and associated paperwork at one-time.
• Apply creative space planning and design skills to create kitchen/bedroom and other furniture designs
• Connect with customers on the phone, through email, and web chat to understand kitchen bedroom and other remodeling needs and wants to help the client through the design and purchasing process

• Identify and develop sales leads, nurturing the prospect through the sales process, and close sales
• Answer customer questions about product, technical specifications, design trends, and space planning
• Develop and nurture a sales pipeline of potential customers
• Use persuasive selling skills to close cabinet sales and suggest cabinet upgrades and accessories
• Follow best practices and performance standards, in line with the company policy, to meet business objectives and goals
  Experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience Kitchen and Bath design and sales
• Ability to handle a variety of customer situations with enthusiasm and tact
• Ability to organize and focus on simultaneous multiple projects
• Ability to see project through from conception to sale
  Strong communication skills using phone, emails, and/or online chats
• Great organizational skills
• Engaging personality
• Intermediate to expert skills in Articad or equivalent [Auto CAD]
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
