Print & Graphics Designer at Tecan Print Solutions

Tecan Print Solutions (TPS LTD) a new and dynamic company, is looking to recruit a highly motivated and qualified individual for the position of Print and Graphics Designer. A suitable candidate should be between 21 and 28 years old.

Job Title: Print & Graphics Designer

The successful candidate will be detail oriented with excellent layout and proofing skills and have experience with print production and pre-press processes. Must be fluent in graphic applications including InDesign, CorelDraw, Photoshop and Illustrator. Must also be able to work with the Microsoft suite of Word, Publisher and Powerpoint. Must be able to work with multiple projects and be able to perform within tight deadlines, have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to adapt to a changing environment and acquire new skills.

Responsibilities

• Recommending efficient, time-saving project production flows.
• Identifying and selecting appropriate options for binding, inks, paper, varnishes, and special printing processes.
• Recommending the best printers for the specific project.
• Writing effective creative briefs and print specs that reflect client goals, printing requirements, scheduling, and budget constraints
• Selecting and negotiating with vendors to agree on best price, quality, and due date.
• Sending requests for estimates to printers and follow up.
• Recommend graphic designs to clients
• Creating and managing print production schedules
• Examining finished samples and approving quality before delivery to client.

• Proficient with relevant design related programs, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Publisher, Word and PowerPoint.

• Able to juggle multiple projects and perform well with aggressive turnaround times.
• Able to communicate effectively with management, co-workers and customers.
• Excellent in verbal and written communication skills, including proofing, grammar and spelling.
• Confident to take a project from concept to completion.
• Able to learn and utilize new technology quickly and accurately as it pertains to our business
• Able to utilize resources cost effectively and prudently.

Qualifications: Minimum Certificate in Graphics Design, IT will be an added advantage
