Description

The Southern Provincial Health Office under the US President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) Project through a Cooperative Agreement (CoAg) with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), is seeking for eligible, self-motivated and qualified applicants for the positions listed below for the various levels (Provincial, District, Facility and Community)

(C) FACILITY LEVEL

JOB TITLE: PHARMACY TECHNOLOGISTS (06 POSITIONS)

Purpose: Responsible for managing and supervising the provision of pharmaceutical services and products in order to ensure the effective delivery of health care

Responsibilities:

  • Supervises and undertakes effectively the management of pharmaceuticals in order to ensure their availability and efficiency
  • Monitors regularly the utilizations of the essential drugs and pharmaceuticals in order to identify appropriate interventions
  • Supervises and undertakes effectively the updating of the database in order to facilitate accessibility and flow of information
  • Undertakes timely preparations of budgets in order to facilitate the acquisition of financial resources
  • Supervises and undertakes effectively the development and implementation of capacity building interventions in order to impart appropriate skills and knowledge
  • Manages timely development of work plans in order to monitor and evaluate performance.

Qualifications:

  • Grade twelve certificate with five “O” levels
  • Diploma in Pharmacy
  • 3 years relevant experience
  • Ability to write comprehensive and coherent professional paper/report
  • Computer literate
  • Confidentiality
