Description
The Southern Provincial Health Office under the US President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) Project through a Cooperative Agreement (CoAg) with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), is seeking for eligible, self-motivated and qualified applicants for the positions listed below for the various levels (Provincial, District, Facility and Community)
(A) PROVINCIAL LEVEL
JOB TITLE: FINANCE OFFICERS (02 POSITION)
Purpose: Responsible for taking charge of the financial health of the institution by administering accounting operations to meet legal requirements and should be familiar with audits, invoices and budget preparations. Should also demonstrates interest in managing accounting activities, including bank reconciliations, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of all financial transactions and procedures
- Keep accurate records for all daily transactions in the cashbooks
- Record accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Update internal systems with financial data
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
- Reconcile bank statements
- Participate in financial audits both internal and external
- Update the assets register
- Assist with budget preparation
- Manage and track imprest/advances issued to Districts and personnel
- Review and implement financial policies
- Have excellent organizational skills and be able to handle time-sensitive tasks.
- Must be able to manage a payroll
Qualifications:
- Grade Twelve (12) Certificate with Five (5) O’ Levels
- Part 2 ZICA,ACCA or CIMA
- Must be an active member of ZICA
- Knowledge in Pastel Accounting will be an added advantage
- Proven work experience as a Finance Officer or similar role managing USG funds
- Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures
- Advanced MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
- Knowledge of GRZ and USG financial regulations
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills
- Sharp time management skills
- Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data
- Experience in handling/managing USG Funds is an added advantage
