Communications Assistant x2 at Society for Family Health

Society for Family Health is recruiting for the position of Communications Assistants – SIFPO – EC (X2),  to be based at Headquarters (No.1) and Copperbelt Region – Ndola (No.1) for a duration of three (3) months.  The communications Assistant will work in the area of social marketing and demand creation for Society for Family Health (SFH) health’s products and services.  The goal is to raise SRH awareness through field activities to drive increased uptake of contraception.  The position will also be required to contribute to SFH report generation and knowledge management

Key Responsibility:

• Coordinate SFH field activities such as roadshows and community activations.
• Contribute to demand creation work plan to achieve company objectives
• Monitor and controls movement of promo and IEC materials
• Serves as a point of contact for SFH clients and maintains relationships.
• Map areas for activations.
• Lays groundwork by visiting relevant offices for permissions to hold field activities.
• Assists in setting up and unmounting for field activities
• Responsible for the documentation of success stories and lessons learnt
• Assists in creation of social media and website content
• Supervise volunteers and work with consultants to ensure program success.
• Any other tasks assigned by management.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Diploma in Social Sciences, Education or Marketing
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Good written and spoken English
• Fluent in spoken Bemba and Nyanja
• 1-2 years’ experience in marketing or communications is a requirement in an NGO
• Good understanding of sexual and reproductive health.
