The Netherlands Development Organization (SNV) is an international not-for-profit development organization that believes in contributing to poverty alleviation in Zambia through various programs/projects that it implements. About the assignment
SNV requires the services of a consultant to consolidate vendor/supplier list which will be used by the organisation for the year 2019/2020. The Consultant will be required to thoroughly and objectively vet and conduct due diligence on all the vendors shortlisted by the SNV procurement team so as to ensure that the proposed/shortlisted vendors; are dully registered with PACRA, they are ZRA compliant, verify the registered directors, verify physical location of the business entities, verify any other documents presented to support their registration with SNV. The Consultant will be mandated to ensure integrity, transparency and accountability through the nomination and shortlisting process of the vendors.
The consultant is therefore expected to visit statutory organisations to verify compliance and registration of the vendors and also to visit the office premises of the vendors/suppliers to confirm their physical addresses.

Qualifications
The Consultant must have the following qualifications and experience:
- A proven track record of professionalism and ethical conduct to be verified by traceable referees.
- Relevant Commercial /Financial technical knowledge, skills and extensive work experience in undertaking similar activities
- Experience in providing related assignments and excellent track record of completion of tasks according to timelines.
- Experience with donor-funded projects (added advantage)
- Excellent reporting and writing skills with experience in assignments of a similar nature.
- University or College qualification in a Business related field from a recognized institution.
