SCAW Limited seeks to recruit a suitably qualified, experienced and result oriented individual to fill the below position:

Manager Technical (2 Years Renewable Contract)

Reports to: Chief Operations Officer

Job Overview:

1. Plans, evaluates, improves and oversees the processes through which the Foundry manufactures the products.
2. Ensures the Foundry processes are established to meet the manufacturing and product quality requirements of its customers and regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities:

1. Defines and establishes the production processes to meet customer requirements
2. Reviews customer inquiries, orders and requirements including management of the production process to meet customer specifications.
3. Establishes the production and inspection processes required to ensure compliance with customer requirements and regulatory authorities
4. Facilitates all contacts related to the process and inspection technology to meet customer specifications
5. Supports operations and quality control teams to develop in-process and final inspection processes to detect and resolve nonconformities at the earliest stage possible.
6. Assists the organization to establish metrics, collect and analyze data to highlight improvement opportunities to reduce scrap and rework, improve yield and improve customer satisfaction.
7. Maintains a pipeline of projects to drive optimization in rework, yield and process efficiency, while continuing to maintain all internal and external product quality requirements.
8. Works with all areas of the plant in the writing and use of work instructions, documentation of processes, and in the training of employees in support of maintaining a competent workforce.
9. Develops, trains, and deploys the latest problem-solving approaches to support company process improvement goals.

Qualifications;

1. Full grade 12 certificate.
2. Degree in Metallurgical Engineering or its equivalent.
3. EIZ Member.
4. Ten years working experience of which five should be a senior management level.
