Vacancy: Portfolio Development Manager
The role
We are looking for a Business developer with focus on portfolio/product line. Key interface between the Portfolio teams and sales areas. Support PSSR Account managers and operations to ensure the portfolio readiness, competitive insight and development plan. Drives future sales revenue targets and supports promotion.
Key performance areas
- Key contact between regional sales teams and Division Portfolio teams to support Portfolio offerings locally
- Ensure all relevant portfolio offering information (including offering make up & combinations, technical material, marketing / branding material etc.) is current available and distributed to sales teams in a timely way. Manages any portfolio changes where needed.
- Supports Business Line with strategic business plan and implementation of it with the sales force and the operations team
- Supports the sales teams and portfolio teams on any questions/queries related to portfolio offerings
- Grow and retain existing accounts by presenting new offerings to clients
- Actively work with and support sales personnel to secure new business through identified opportunities / new portfolio opportunities
- Align with regional pricing to ensure pricing for each offering is within pricing guidelines as part of the quoting
- Provide training and updates to sales personnel to ensure full knowledge & understanding of portfolio offering

- Growth target in terms of revenue and profitability
- Accuracy & availability of portfolio information available to frontline sales
- Won / Lost deals
- Order intake vs budget/forecast
Your profile
- Diploma/ Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/EIectricaI)
- Commercial or Business qualification
- 5 years’ experience in sales or customer service environment
- Product and/or component knowledge
- Business development experience
- Computer literate with proven computer skills.
- Strong technical background across engineering disciplines.
- Fitness for underground and surface mines (Silicosis Certification).
- Project Management skills.
- Account management experience.
- EIZ Membership.
- Valid driver’s license.
