QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma in Pharmacy
- Registration with the Health Professions Council of Zambia
- HIV Treatment & Care, ART and Essential Medicines experience
- 3 – 5 years post Community Service
- Previous public sector experience preferably within HIV field
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
- Logistics management course
- Call centre experience within a healthcare environment
- Knowledge of the Zambian public healthcare sector
TECHNICAL AND BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES
- Excellent communication skills
- Client orientated
- Good planning, organizing and decision making skills
- High quality standard of work
- Computer literate – MS Office and call centre programmes
- Good understanding of Medicines and Related Substances Legislation
- Be able to work within the framework of a team
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Ensure that all new patient scripts are captured and checked/validated by a pharmacist
- Follow up with facilities where necessary regarding patient scripts.
- Dispense patient ready packs for patients according to scope of practice.
- Report potential medication/therapy errors to pharmacist

- Provide training to other Health Professionals with regard to pharmacy related issues
- Train and Tutor Pharmacist Assistant learners registered with the Pharmacy Council for training
- Provide training to other Health Professionals with regard to pharmacy related issues
- Train and Tutor Pharmacist Assistant learners registered with the Pharmacy Council for training
- Provide training to other Health Professionals with regard to pharmacy related issues
- Train and Tutor Pharmacist Assistant learners registered with the Pharmacy Council for training
