Minimum Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy
  • Current registration with the relevant in-country regulatory body
  • At least 5 years’ experience working as a Pharmacy Manager

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  • Post-graduate Degree or Diploma in HIV/AIDS Management
  • Postgraduate qualification in business operations management or related
  • High-volume prescription dispensing processes
  • Quality assurance procedures in the dispensing process
  • Management of pharmacy operations, people and conflict management

TECHNICAL AND BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES

  • Conflict management
  • Project management skills
  • Computer analytical skills
  • Critical analysis
  • Monitoring and EvaluationPolicy/guideline/regulatory review, implementation and monitoring
  • Good communication skills (interpersonal, professional, training, and presentation)
  • Resilience and prepared to work under pressure, report writing skills
  • Research, development and statistical analysis skills, basic financial management skills.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • Ensure that the CDU operations comply to the legislation governing pharmacy practice, as prescribed by ZAMRA
  • Manage Human Resources
  • Manage SLA with PuP service providers
  • Manage CDU Operations in accordance to the SOPs with respect to:
  • Develop and manage a CDU quality assurance process
  • Financial risk management  including CDU overhead cost management
  • Logistics and supply chain management
  • Participate in the district CCMDD steering Committee
  • Liaise with the MOH and all the IPs
  • Support treatment facilities in strengthening the pharmaceutical supply systems within the district
  • Liaise with Heads of Schools of Pharmacy on implementation science research projects regarding the CCMDD programme
