A Lusaka based NGO wishes to fill the following vacancies.

Laboratory Services Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities will include the following:

• Provide medical laboratory diagnostic advise to program;
• Manage laboratory quality matters, including specimen preparation, analytical procedures, developing operational procedures, ensuring compliance to standards, troubleshooting procedures and certifying instrument performance in all AHF sites;
• Lead facility staff in maintaining the program’s medical laboratory supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, ensure order are placed and expedited and ensure receipt of supplies is verified;
• Monitor the program’s medical laboratory productivity by monitoring workload of functional areas, identifying peak and slack points and making the necessary operational or staffing adjustments;
• Maintains quality results by adapting national and global quality standards to the program;
• Managing medical the laboratory information system by identifying information needs/issues, recommending improvements and maintaining security/confidentiality;
• Mentor and build capacity of laboratory staff in the program as part of quality improvement;
• Ensure that laboratories and their staff comply with licensure requirements through inspections and providing support to enable compliance;
• Supports the procurement processes by assisting in development of specifications, sourcing and inspection of procured items;
•  Undertake other related duties as instructed.
