Provincial Health Office, Western Province with support from U.S Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has been implementing programs to improve the management of TB, STIs and HIV/AIDS care services in the Province since 2006. To further strengthen the programs, WPHO is inviting applications from interested persons who meet the minimum requirements to fill the following vacant position on contract basis subject to renewal:
TITLE: Strategic Information/M&E Lead —(01) WPHO
LOCATION: PROVINCIAL HEALTH OFFICE
REPORTS TO: Program Coordinator with a technical interaction with Principal Planner
JOB PURPOSE: To coordinate implementation of effective strategic information, Monitoring and Evaluation systems that enhances data driven decision making through research and planning.
PRINCIPAL ACCONTABILITIES
- Facilitate development of provincial SI and M&E program action plans and budgets.
- Coordinates and facilitates routine analysis of program data, reviewing and communicating feedback to individual supported districts
- Facilitate adherence to CDC reporting guidelines and deadlines
- Facilitate capacity building among SI and program staff
- Facilitate development and implementation of effective M& E frameworks
- Facilitcte provision of accurate data for program planning, implementation and monitoring
- Facilitate development of protocols for program evaluation
- Facilitate development of manuscripts and other papers for publication
- Facilitate development and utilization of effective data warehouse
- Facilitcte harmonization of MER and HMIS data capturing and reporting tools
- Facilitate effective implementation of Electronic Health Records (EHR)
- Facilitate development and effective utilization of Situation Room HIV dosh boards at PHO and in all the supported DHOs.
- Develop and implement effective program data review mechanisms at provincial, district. facility and community levels
- Facilitate effective case by case based monitoring systems for P LHIV
- Facilitate quality improvement mechanisms implementation in all supported sites
JOB SPECIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS
- Full grade 12 School Certificate
- Must be between the age of 25 and 45 years
- Bachelor’s degree in Demography, Statistics, M&E, Information technology. Computer
- Science or any other related social science degree
- Masters in Demography, Statistics. M&E or any other social science will be added advantage
- Five (5) years relevant traceable experience in PEPFAR data management and reporting
- Ability to write technical papers and reports clearly in English
- Ability to communicate fluently in English and local languages
Other skills/Attributes: Computer literate, Managerial skills, Good Interpersonal relations. ability to use initiative and trust worthiness.
