Provincial Health Office, Western Province with support from U.S Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has been implementing programs to improve the management of TB, STIs and HIV/AIDS care services in the Province since 2006. To further strengthen the programs, WPHO is inviting applications from interested persons who meet the minimum requirements to fill the following vacant position on contract basis subject to renewal:
TITLE: FACILITY DATA ASSOCIATES (2 Positions)
LOCATION: Limulunga Stage 2 health Centre and Lewanika General Hospital
REPORTS TO: Facility ln- Charge
JOB PURPOSE: To support the program implementation, monitoring and evaluation by timely collecting, analyzing data for guiding decisions for efficient program monitoring and implementation.
PRINCIPAL ACCONTABILITIES
- Undertakes timely preparation and implementation of action plans and budgets in order to facilitate acquisition and utilization of resources.
- Provides data management technical support to newly appointed health facility staff on HMIS and MER indicators
- Undertakes generation of all required HMIS and MER reports as per reporting deadlines
- Undertakes routine analysis of facility TB/HIV data and provide performance updates against set targets
- Conducts data verifications and validations to ensure accuracy, completeness and consistency prior to report submission the next levels
- Provides timely feedback about client level data and aggregated data to both facility clinical and DHO staff.
- Undertakes accurate and timely data entry in the EHR system, conduct routine maintenance of the EHR workstation and keep logs for system issues
JOB SPECIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS
- Full grade 12 School Certificate
- Must be between the age of 21 and 40 years
- Diploma in Information Technology, ComputerSciences, IMIS or any related social science
- Two (2) years traceable work experience in data management
- Training in SmartCare and DHIS will be an added advantage
- Ability to write technical papers and reports clearly in English
- Ability to communicate fluently in English and local languages
Other skills/Attributes: Computer literate, Managerial skills, good Interpersonal relations, ability to use initiative and trust worthiness.
