Working in Zambia since 1996, Plan International Zambia’s development and capacity building programmes focus primarily on Education, Health, Water and Sanitation, Economic Security and Youth Empowerment, including Child Protection and Participation. Plan International Zambia has programme areas (PAs) in; Central, Luapula, and Eastern Provinces including Lusaka, where the Country Office is located.
Plan International Zambia is looking for an innovative, motivated, self-starter individual to fill the following vacancy:
Front Office Assistant – (Eastern Programme Area) 1 Position ( 2 Year contract)
Position Description
The position of Front Office Assistant is responsible for Administrative duties, monthly reports, Petty Cash Management and coordination of activities for Staff in the Eastern Province. The position reports to the Finance and Administration Coordinator with a dotted line into Country Human Resource Manager
Key responsibilities include;
- General administration including:
- Handling external and internal Communication
- Monthly reports
- Records Management
- Petty Cash Management
- Coordination, organizing and arranging of Meetings, travel and work related activities for programme area staff
- Arranging maintenance of office equipment
- Ensuring that the office area and surroundings are kept clean at all times
Individual Specifications include:
- Possession of a higher Diploma in Secretarial Studies/Office Management or other relevant qualification
- 2 – 3 years experience in similar position preferably an NGO
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to express herself/himself clearly
- Innovative and ability to work independently
- Must have good record keeping skills
- Excellent computer skills
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural environment
- Fluent in written & oral English.
- Knowledge of local language in the Programme Area will be an added advantage.
