An opportunity exists for a talented individual who wishes to develop a career in this exciting industry as UHT Foreman reporting to the Plant Manager.

KEY RESULT AREAS AND OUTPUT

  • Day-to-Day liaison with Technical Team Leaders and Maintenance Manager discussions of shift technicians reports, lines performances, downtimes and planning focus areas for the day
  • Troubleshooting of all electrical, mechanical and PLC problems on Tetra Pak filling machines and end packaging machines
  • Attending to prioritized main/ longest downtime breakdown on equipment as per the plan.
  • Performing daily lines inspections and jobs completion on equipment as per issued job cards
  • Performing weekly care and services on planned line equipment with machine operators and shift technicians
  • Planning/scheduling of time interval services (500hrs,1000hrs), for all the lines, order service parts in time and required number of technicians for the particular services
  • Assist Shift Technicians with fault finding on equipment to accelerate the Mean Time to Repair(MTR) and restoring production
  • Continuous improvements of line efficiencies on dedicated/agreed lines to a certain approved percentages(Planned on month to month)
  • Root cause analysis on reoccurring problems on equipment and on job training for shift technician
  • Planning of machine Operator Trainings and competence evaluations(Formal and Informal)
  • Improvement of Stores parts control, critical breakdown parts, general maintenance parts, moving and non-moving parts
  • Managing UHT KPIs and deliver as per agreed KPI goals
  • Developing standardisation of equipment
  • Negotiating the budget for internal labour, spare parts and external services
    Ensuring that internal rules are respected and supply the necessary means (IPE, hot work permit, health and safety prevention plans, etc.)
  • Maintain installations to comply with regulations and propose improvements
  • Define and lead processes related to integrated management systems (ISO 9001, 22000, 14000, International Food Standards, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Grade 12 Certificate
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 3 years Minimum in Production, with Managerial Experience
  • Registered with EIZ
  • Experience in Process industry maintenance, line and non-line management, office systems, organising, planning, control, anticipating

KEY ATTRIBUTES AND CHARACTERISTICS

  • Must Possess Operational Skills relevant to the mechanical engineering
  • Proficiency in Excel required
