Job Description and Responsibilities
Job Title: Sales and Marketing Officer (Back Office)
Department: Sales and Marketing
Job Purpose:
To participate in the company’s Sales and Marketing team as a ‘face’ of the company. To greet and welcome clients, assist them with their needs by enabling Sales, promoting the company’s products and services, and seeking for growth in the Sales department by working to find new customers. To also equally play a key part in communicating the Company’s marketing message and also be responsible for driving the sales effort for all the products and services offered by the company.

Principal Accountabilities (Main Duties)
Planning
Preparing, planning and project managing the publication of all publicity material to maximize brand promotion
Communication
Creating and developing new innovative ways to communicate the company message to their existing customers.
Sales effort
Contributing to the annual sales and marketing plan and ensuring all targets are met.
Research
Ensure the potential target industries and customers. Maintain a database of the research and contacting these potential clients to make sales accordingly.
Partnership development
To build effective relationships with a range of partners including key internal officers/teams, external customers and developers.
Report Preparation
Prepare reports weekly, fortnightly or monthly, as requested by Sales Manager
Tasks/Responsibilities:
- Greet, welcome and assist all walk-in clients politely and successfully
- Processing orders via email or telephone successfully
- Selling products and services using solid arguments and facts to prospective customers
- Performing cost-benefit analyses of existing and potential customers
- Maintaining positive business relationships to ensure future sales
- Present, promote and sell products/services to prospective and existing customers
- Reach out to customer leads through cold calling
- Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
- Achieve agreed sales targets and outcomes within schedule
- Analyse the territory/market potential track sales and status reports
- Continuously improve through feedback
- Checking data accuracy in all orders and invoices
- Liaise with the Logistics department to ensure timely deliveries to clients
- Maintain and update sales and customer records daily
- Communicate important feedback from customers internally (to Sales Manager)
- Ensure sales targets are met and report any deviations
- Maintain a thorough understanding of all products stocked and supplied
- Maintain up-to-date information from our internal warehouses and external suppliers on availability of products to enable a smooth process with clients on a sale
- Ensure all products are available to the customer before agreeing on any invoice
- If a product is not readily available to a client, ensure the client has knowledge and confirmation of the waiting time before initiating the sale
- Stay up-to-date with new products and features
- Maintain data through
- Work closely with the Sales Manager to enable marketing and/or advertising campaigns and brand promotion
- Ensure the Sales Manager is provided with a daily report of all sales
- Maintain a database of current and prospective clients
- You are required to abide by your tasks/responsibilities set out by the Management.
Reporting Relationship:
Reporting to Senior Sales and Marketing Officer/ Sales Manager
