IT Technical Support Officer at Opermin Zambia LTD

IT technical support officer is responsible for the smooth running of computer systems and ensuring users get maximum benefits from them.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Computer or Bachelor of Information Technology or Bachelor of Computer Engineering
• Two years of working experience

Responsabilities:

• Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems and applications
• Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
• Talk staff or users through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the phone, to help set up systems or resolve issues in Head Office and Mine Shafts.
• Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
• Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
• Follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system
• Set up new users’ accounts and profiles and deal with password issues
• Work continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate)
• Test and evaluate new technology
• Prepare and keep updated an inventory for hardware and software in the Company
• Responsible of backup and restore of the data servers in the Company.
• Conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment.
