The ‘Country Lead’ will play a key role in growing Nomanini’s business and operations in Zambia. Nomanini’s focus is to grow its base of informal retail merchants and agents through partnerships with existing distributors.
This is a management-level role that will define the country strategy, nurture key partnerships with financial service providers and distributors and also recruit and manage the local team. The local team will grow to 3-5 people over the next 18 months.
Responsibilities
1. Develop and manage strategic partnerships- 30%
- Manage the relationship with Nomanini’s anchor financial services partner
- Develop partnerships with top mobile, FMCG and other distributors
- Gain access to new service providers and payments types
- Project implementation and reporting
- Provide account management with distributors to ensure their effectiveness
- Build processes for operations such as trade-marketing, training, support, repairs, reporting, etc
- Build resourcing and budget and hire accordingly
- Define annual and quarterly operating plans
- Drive results and team engagement daily and weekly

- A practical operator with and understanding of distribution operations
- An organised planner, who effectively manages their time and that of those around them
- A communicator, who can work effectively in a distributed team
- University degree or equivalent
- 3-5 years in a Financial Services Company or Mobile Operator
- >5 years in Mobile or FMCG distribution/channel management
- Comfort with computers, the internet and technology in general
- Willing to travel up to 25% of the time
- Salary based on experience
