Kiln Operators x2 at Ndola Lime Company Limited

Ndola Lime Company Limited urgently seeks to employ a suitably qualified; goal oriented and motivated persons in the following positions:

KILN OPERATORS (x2)

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

• To ensure the smooth running of the kiln by controlling the system from a control panel.

Statement of Main Accountabilities /Duties

• Controls feed rate into the kiln to ensure continuous smooth operations.
• Monitors control panel to ensure kiln temperatures, pressures and other parameters are compliant to standard values.
• Liaises with the laboratory for quick lime quality and takes necessary remedial action.
• Raises defect dockets to ensure minimum down time.
• Inspects the circuit once per shift to ensure machinery is in safe working condition.
• Ensures correct quantities of air and fuel are fed to the kiln for efficient fuel usage.
• Coordinates with Plant Foreman in the supervision of workmen and attendants.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Grade twelve with five acceptable ordinary levels.
• Minimum of Five years’ work experience
• Knowledge of both Vertical and Rotary Kilns
• Trade certificate in Electrical/Mechanical will be an added advantage
• Preferably Ndola based with own accommodation
