Description

The National Health Insurance Management Authority (NHIMA) is a body corporate established under the National Health Insurance Act No 2 of 2018. The Act’s primary mandate is to provide for sound financing for the national health system in order to provide universal access to quality insured health services to all Zambians.

In fulfilling this mandate, the Authority now requires the services of;

Audit & Risk Manager

Principal Accountabilities:

The role will be responsible for providing independent assurance on the Authority’s risk management, governance and internal control systems.

Primary Responsibilities;

  • To develop and implement audit policies to ensure effective internal controls in order to safeguard theAuthority’s resources;
  • To assess the management and evaluation of risk in order to have effective and relevant internal controls;
  • To evaluate governance processes and internal control system in order to ascertain their efficacy and recommend appropriate interventions;
  • To analyse and evaluate the Authority’s operations and systems in order to ensure the accuracy, confidentiality and security of the Authority;
  • To collaborate with other assurance providers in order to enhance skills, share information and keep abreast with internal best practices;
  • To undertake stock and asset verification audits; and
  • To perform any other role as may be assigned from time to time.

Educational Qualifications;

  • Grade twelve (12) School certificate with 5 ‘O’ levels with credit or better including Mathematics and English Language;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance; and
  • Professional qualification in ACCA, CIMA.

Relevant Experience and other Attributes;

  • 7-8 years of experience ina similar role;
  • Must be a memberofZlCA;
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills;
  • Must be computer literate with MS Office applications;
  • Attention to detail; and
  • Excellent analytical skills.
