PROCUREMENT MANAGER

CONTRACT: PERMANENT

Reporting to the Finance Director, the successful candidate will be accountable for the following:

• Set and manage procurement budget
• Preparation of requests for quotations and invitations to tender
• Identifying of suitable supplier and conducting supplier appraisal
• Placement and expediting of purchase orders
• Manage the importation and local procurement of all raw materials
• Monitoring of supplier performance
• Provide input on commodity logistics
• Ensuring that physical stock counts are done timeously
• Negotiation of key material pricing
• Developing specifications for materials and services

This job is particularly suitable for candidates who meet the following minimum requirements:

• Grade 12 Certificate with six credits or better
• Supply chain, stock procurement, undergraduate degree or any other relevant professional qualification.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience
• Member of Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply
• Excellent communication skills
• Motivated and results oriented
• Has professional integrity and possess sound business acumen.
