Accountant

Nakangea Construction is looking for a vibrant professional to fill the position of Accountant. The incumbent will be responsible for providing financial guidance and support to Management. He/She will handle, manage, research and analyze all accounting data, in order to provide quantitative information on performance, financial position, solvency, liquidity and cash flows of the business.

Required Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:

• At least a degree in Accounting, ACCA level 2 or similar;
• At least 5 years’ practical experience;
• Previous experience in a similar role;
• Must have considerable knowledge of basic accounting principles and accounting functions;
• Excellent knowledge of statutory accounting requirements;
• Must be proficient with at least 2 or more accounting packages, excel and word applications;
• Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels in the organization.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Ability to work independently and exhibit innovation and pro-activity in execution of duties;
• Ability to accurately work under pressure in meeting deadlines;
• Must be flexible and able to work well in a fast-paced environment.  He or she should be competent in handling simultaneously occurring tasks;
• Willingness to share knowledge, experience, Ideas and expertise.
