mothers2mothers Zambia seeks to recruit a Adolescent Program Officer – Peer Mentor for the JSI led, USAID Supporting an AIDS-Free Era (SAFE) program in Zambia. The five year project will work to reduce HIV mortality, morbidity and transmission, while improving nutrition outcomes and family planning integration in three provinces: Central, Copperbelt, and North-Western.
USAID SAFE will work with the GRZ, private sector and civil society institutions at the national, provincial, and district level to increase access to ART for HIV positive adults and children, reduce the incidence of new infections, improve Nutritional Assessment, Counseling and Services (NACS) and family planning services, and increase the capacity of local health institutions to better serve affected populations.
This position will provide support in planning, implementation and monitoring of the Mentor Mother Programme in NorthWestern and Copperbelt. To supervise, train and provide first-line technical targeted programme and operational support to Peer Mentors and Site Coordinators to ensure quality programme implementation in the Districts. Responsible for development and maintenance of key project partnerships with relevant PEPFAR funded partners working with adolescents within the Districts. To support m2m implementation plan, i.e. Home Visiting Teams within selected Districts through coordinating orientation visits of Provincial DoH Mentor Mothers to m2m sites as well as to present m2m programme in key District and local-level forums.
