Description
The University of Maryland Baltimore with funding from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) will conduct the Zambia National Population HIV Impact Assessment (ZAMPHIA 2020).
ZAMPHIA 2020 will assess progress towards achievement of the UNAIDS 90-90-90 targets on national and subnational levels. The data will be used to focus HIV services and resources to the areas of greatest need and help move Zambia closer to HIV epidemic control.
The University of Maryland Baltimore affiliate, Maryland Global Initiatives Corporation Zambia (MGIC Zambia) is currently inviting applications from interested persons, who meet the minimum requirements to apply to the key positions advertised. Project Duration is scheduled for eighteen (18) months and successful candidates will be offered employment for that period.
Administration Assistant
The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for coordinating and managing administrative and logistical support to the project.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist the COO to coordinate and provide effective administrative, logistical and secretarial support services for the Project
- Take a leading role in organizing and coordinating the effective administrative functioning of the Country Office;
- Implement general office procedures and guidelines to ensure smooth operation of the office work and related systems
- Coordinate and monitor multiple and diverse work processes and activities to ensure management decisions and directives are properly carried out for the timely delivery of products.
- Oversee the proper filing of all important project related documents and ensure that records are updated and filed
- Oversee the maintenance of the office facilities and equipment.
- Monitor service providers’ contractual obligation on a monthly basis.
- Other related duties assigned by the COO or his designee
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration other equivalent degree
- Minimum of 5 – 8 years of related experience in such areas as: procurement, logistics, record keeping and/or facilities management, preferably in INGO
