Makeni Institute Trust is a Boys Boarding school located in a serene and tranquil environment in the heart of Makeni.
We endeavor to provide a stimulating and exciting learning atmosphere for both learners and Staff. As a school our goal and objective is to ensure our graduates are not only academically able but that they are also good at hands-on skills.
A vacancy has arisen for a MATHEMATICS & BIOLOGY TEACHER.
Main Purpose of the Job
To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students and to support a designated curriculum area as appropriate. To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential. The appointee will report to the headmaster and directly contribute to all areas of teaching and learning as well as supporting in other areas such as boarding and extra curricular activities.
Qualifications Required
- Minimum 5 O’ levels including Mathematics and English
- Bachelor’s Degree of Education (Mathematics Major, Biology Minor)
- Teaching Council of Zambia registration and practicing Licence
- A secure knowledge and understanding of the subject area curriculum and related pedagogy
- At least three years of Teaching the above subjects at a reputable school, producing exceptional results.
