Macoil Logistics Limited is currently looking for professional ,self motivated Truck Mechanic to join our team.Candidates  will be required to have a high level of safety awareness , performance driven and capable of operating with a diverse team to achieve cost effective maintenance targets and deliver efficient service .

Macoil Logistics Limited operates in a fast- paced environment where attention to detail and proactive engagement is  critical to a successful consignment delivery.

MECHANICS ROLE

Successful candidates will be required to follow all Policies , Procedures and Legal Regulations relevant to the role including all other regulations required by the company relating to Health,Safety,Security and Environment.

Successful Candidates will be required to:

• Inspect Fleet including Trucks and Cars based on scheduled / Preventative Maintenance Program
• Troubleshoot root cause of faults and make corrective repairs
• Carry out examinations using checklists
• Follow specific operating procedures and processes
• Undertake house keeping and house keeping inspections weekly
• Maintain a weekly report of works done including update to vehicle records
• Be conversant and Pro- active on safety and operational issues
• Present monthly Budgets for Consumables
• Develop and Maintain a spare parts stock in accordance with noted challenge on the fleet
• Conversant with Volvo FM and FH models using D11 and D13 Engine Management systems
• Conversant with Freightliners

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• No less than 5 years relevant experience in the field
• Grade 12 certificate
• Minimum of Craft Certificate in Mechanics from a recognized institution
• Strong report writing skills
• Excellent Diagnostic skills
• Valid and clean class CE/D Drivers Licence PSV
• Medically fit
• Valid Passport
• High critical thinking skills
• Ability to work well independently and in a team based environment
