Description

We are a vibrant Zambian start-up which provides smart solutions to clients seeking handyman services such plumbing, electrical works, vehicle maintenance and other services required around the home.

Our company wishes to employ a Business Manager.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Office Administration:

  • Ensure that the office is always clean and tidy
  • Manage office consumables
  • Ensure that the office is always secured
  • Maintain the asset register
  • Ensure that office furniture and equipment is well maintained
  • Ensure proper filing and record keeping

Client Management:

  • Assist clients to sign up onto the platform
  • Attend to client queries
  • Follow up overdue cancellation call-out fees
  • Verify electronic payments made by clients
  • Manage client accounts

Expert Management:

  • Facilitate the end to end expert recruitment process
  • Liaise with key stakeholders involved in the recruitment process
  • Attend to expert queries
  • Record payments from experts and payments to experts
  • Monitor job reviews by clients and implement any necessary corrective measures for negative reviews
  • Manage expert accounts

Sales and Marketing:

  • Manage sales promotions
  • Liaise with the social media manager
  • Represent the company at various expos, commercial shows and other similar events
  • Liaise with advertising agencies

Accounting:

  • Appropriately record all expenditure
  • Manage all payables e.g. rentals, internet costs, utilities etc.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES

Qualifications: Business management or commercial degree / diploma – preferably Business Administration

Experience: 

  • Atleast 6 months proven experience in any software/IT company
  • Experience in customer relations

Technical competencies:

  • Knowledge of book keeping
  • Budgeting skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications
  • Tech Savvy; strong appetite for IT based solutions

Personal competencies:

  • Well-developed people management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (across the business)
  • Strong customer focus and service orientation
  • Creative, analytical with good problem solving skills
  • Conflict management skills and ability to manage ambiguity
