Description
Founded in 2006, Kucetekela Foundation (KF) is a non-profit organization that provides academically promising but financially disadvantaged Zambian boys and girls with comprehensive scholarships that fund an excellent education at a private secondary school.
KF scholarships cover more than tuition. KF’s philosophy is that a holistic approach is needed to maximize chances of success. In addition to an excellent education, we provide our students with one-on-one mentoring, community service, internships, counseling and support to attend university.
Since inception KF has sponsored over 100 students, several of whom have gone on to study in tertiary programs in over five continents.
KF seeks to recruit suitably qualified individuals for the position “Programs Officer.”
Responsibilities:
Participate in student selection process to coordinate logistics and ensure that KF identifies the best candidates for scholarships. Work with Finance and Programs Manager to ensure high academic performance and strong behavioral and extracurricular activities by KF students, assisting with tracking and recording all student achievements, assisting with coordination of extra lessons including SAT preparation, collecting and preparing term reports. Work with Executive Director to assist other staff members in building the capacities of the students through capacity building workshops, collecting and analyzing student reports as feedback. Work with Executive Director to facilitate all programming and application processes for KF students applying to/participating in international and extracurricular programs. Assist with strategic plan for guiding and supporting every graduating KF students with a plan for further education, job experience and/or formal employment. Create and leverage networks to secure internships and jobs for alumni, overseeing all partnerships and agreements. Manage operations of Work Experience program, orienting students and employers to program and seeking new employer partners as needed. Assist with KF program administration as needed. Assist with financial management. Coordinate any needed donor relations. Requiements:
- Bachelors in Business Administration, Public Administration, Education, Social Work
- Experience in monitoring and evaluation, reporting and student services.
- Minimum 3-5 years of program management experience
