Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) is one of the largest copper producers in Zambia. It operates underground and open pit mines as well as metallurgical plants with operations located at Nchanga, Konkola, Nkana and Nampundwe.

KCM’s operations include a state-of-the-art smelter, open pit and underground mines and a refinery. To support this vision KCM will be recruiting qualified and experienced individuals for the following positions at Nchanga in Chingola.

ARTISAN INSTRUMENTATION X 2

Job Purpose

Cany out preventive and proactive maintenance, installation and calibration of instrumentation equipment.

Job Accountabilities:

• Repair and maintain all instrumentation equipment in the section
• Install, calibrate and commissioning of instrumentation equipment
• Cleaning and maintenance of tools and equipment after completion of task
• Troubleshooting of the PLCs, SCADA system and fibre communication systems
• Ensure spares are managed accordingly

Requirements:

• Technician (Craft certificate in Instrumentation
• Minimum of two years’ work experience in a Processing Plant
• Innovative and able to work independently
• Member of Engineering Institute of Zambia
