We are seeking a qualified individual to join our Senior Management Team in Zambia, and to carry out several responsibilities, including Human Resource Management, payroll, asset verification/ reconciliation, and monthly closings. Working with our team, this person’s efforts will make a positive contribution towards our organization’s Christian ethos and witness. This role will be based in our Zambia head office based at Chikondi village in Lusaka.

Position Responsibilities
1. Finance
- Maintain Fixed Asset records, both supporting documentation and database records
- Assist members of management with the month-end closing process and reports
- Conduct bank reconciliation as needed
- Ensure compliance to financial policies and procedure
- Facilitate annual financial audit
- Ensure quality filling of documents
- Provide financial leadership and guidance to all the four sites of operations
- Engage with the international finance office for guidance and policy support
- Supervision of all staff under the finance unit
- Preparation of monthly and annual management report
- Preparation of cashbooks
- Balance sheet reconciliation
- payment processing
- Must be a registered member of ZICA
- Budget preparation and Monitoring
2. Human Resources Management and Administration
- Process payroll for the entire organization on a monthly basis
- Maintain necessary personnel records, and to maintain compliance with labor and tax laws especially on employment taxes
- Ensure Processing of monthly NAPSA contributions and related required filings
- Provide guidance and leadership in enforcing the staff handbook
- Lead in processing recruitment of new staff and ensuring the same are fully inducted
- Ensure adequate documentation and filling of Human resource records
- Supervision of staff under the Human Resources Unit
- Ensure annual filling of returns
3. Administration, Procurement and Stores Management
- Strengthen and Manage the procurement system, ensuring that it is compliant with the Zambia Public Procurement Authority (ZPPA) act
- Devise a workable stores management system across the four sites
- Ensure a robust maintenance system for all assets, including buildings and motor vehicles
- Ensure appreciate insurance and safety management for all the assets and people
- Be a custodian of the Health and safety policy
- Ensure monthly motor vehicle mileage reports are compiled
- Provide staff supervision under this role

Experience and Qualifications
- University level training or equivalent in accounting with 2 to 4years experience
- Diploma level or part ZICA/ACCA with more than 5 years experience
- Proficiency in the use of MS Office suite, working knowledge of quick books and pastel (experience with Blackbaud Financial Edge and/or ADP is a plus)
- Understanding and appreciation of the challenges of working in an international organization, respecting and understanding the diversity of our people and cultures
