Joe’s Earthworks & Mining (JEM) an earthworks and mining company based on the Copperbelt is inviting applications for the following full-time position:

Job Title: Farm Manager

A position for Farm Manager has arisen at Mukango Farms Limited, a subsidiary of Joe’s Earthworks and Mining Limited.  The Farm Manager will run the daily activities of the farm which is located in Masaiti District.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Grade 12 Certificate
• Certificate/diploma in animal science, general agriculture or related field from a reputable and recognized college

Skills & experience:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in animal husbandry and crop production
• Strong attention to detail
• Analytical skills
• Complex problem-solving abilities
• Leadership and motivation qualities
• High integrity
• Able to work with minimum supervision
• Keen and ready to foster business growth

Responsibilities:

• Meeting targets for both livestock, crops and all related agricultural products
• Prudently using farm resources and maintaining highest levels of safety of farm property and workers
• Organizing and implementing the main stock priorities timeously
• Developing monthly, quarterly and annual work plans as well as associated costs to meet the projected production targets
• Ensuring high level farm records management
• Any other duties as assigned by Directors
