Sectional Surveyor at JCHX Mining Construction

JCHX Mining Construction (Z) Limited is a well established mining contracting company in Zambia and is currently looking for highly motivated and qualified individuals for the position of:-

SURVEYOR

JOB PURPOSE

To provide an efficient specialist surveying support service to the mine, supervisor and team to ensure that mining targets are achieved without breaching mining regulations.

The duties will include but not limited to the following:

• Providing vertical and horizontal direction to control mining development crews for tunnels, using pegs or lasers and wall stations
• Providing survey controls for civil works
• Volumetric surveys of development drives
• Measurement and reporting of advances
• Perform tasks as may be assigned by the Senior Section Surveyor

Experience and Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Surveying
• Any survey qualification will be an added advantage.
• EIZ membership
• At least 2 years of underground survey experience
• Operating Microstation V8i 3D, Autocad
• Having experience of working with Laser Scanning equipment.
• Must be able to operate Leica Total Station, Nikon or Topcon Total Station.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

• The candidate must be able to work independently.
• Must have a good command of English.
• Must be able to work under pressure
• Must be able to use Microstation V8i on an independent level
• Must be willing to work long hours and overtime
