Sales Field Supervisor

JTI Leaf Zambia Limited (JTI) is a tobacco leaf subsidiary of Japan Tobacco Incorporated, a leading international tobacco product manufacturer operating in 130 countries. JTI products are available in the Zambia domestic market since 2009. Furthermore, JTI has operations in Chipata, Kaoma and Lusaka where it supports and procures tobacco leaf from over 7,000 small scale and commercial farmers.

JTI invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced people to fill the following vacant positions based in Lusaka:

Sales Field Supervisor (x1)

Position purpose:

Reporting to the Market Manager Zambia, the Sales Field Supervisor will be responsible for:

• Planning and managing all available sales resources to maximize sales and team efficiency
• Identifying sales opportunities and developing and implementing plans for achievement
• Ensuring that team operates in compliance with company policies, procedures, processes and requirements
• Driving and supporting the team in ensuring that they achieve the highest level of customer service and consumer satisfaction
• Planning, coordinating and monitoring effective implementation of business programs
• Sharing market insights and reports for effective decision making.

Education

• A minimum of a Degree in Sales and/or Marketing related field.

Experience

• At least four (4) years FMCG, preferably two (2) years in the tobacco industry
• Extensive and in-depth knowledge and understanding of FMCG sales in Zambia
• Experience in handling supervisory roles and/or project leadership
• Minimum of 2 years driving experience with a valid driving license

Skills (including Language & Computer)

• Working knowledge of Microsoft office with advanced skills in Excel
• Financial, negotiation and customer skills
• Fluent written and Spoken English (Speak, Read & Write)
