Innovate Life Assurance, a subsidiary of Innovate Holdings invites applications from suitably qualified individuals to fill the following positions:-

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To create, implement, drive and monitor the  business strategy focused on client growth, effective relationship management and product development and customer service for the various Client segments in order to achieve desired returns on capital and growth targets

MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop/Oversee the development of the business strategies in liaison with the Group Chief Executive Officer
  • Ensure that all business activities are aligned to strategy and plans.
  • To oversee all business development activities under  the development of client pipelines in order to grow the client base
  • To oversee the assessment of client requirements and provide solutions that enable to grow revenues and market share
  • To contribute to the effective management of  risk by developing and overseeing the implementation of robust Life assurance assessment and underwriting polies and procedures
  • To development all relevant Life assurance risk management standards
  • To proactively manage all risks associated with service provision by ensuring comprehensive reinsurance and other risk mitigating factors are in place for the business.
  • Preparing reports for relevant risk committee, board  and regulators
  • To engage clients and understand their requirements so as to develop product proposals that will meet client needs
  • To engage stakeholders and stay abreast with competitor activity to ensure provision of innovative product and business model ideas
  • Achieve set sales and growth targets
  • Monitor product performance, collection of premiums
  • Develop/provide input into the  budget and ensure effective management, cost reduction and increased profitability
  • Maintenance and growth of customer relationships and identification of opportunities in those relationships and to work on those opportunities to their successful conclusion
  • Identification of business requirements in respect of the product and solution requirements needed to satisfy customer needs and requirements.
  • Ensure regular customer visits and keeping abreast with developments in various markets and industries that customers operate in.
  • Oversee and ensure effective Customer service so as to build client loyalty and first to mind service provider of choice status
  • Define the targets and responsibilities of direct reports and manage and implement the performance contracts of all staff

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Business related Studies
  • Master’s Degree in Business Related Studies/MBA
  • Diploma/Degree in Insurance
  • At least 10 years working experience in insurance
