Finance Manager

To proactively provide strategic analysis and advise on all financial aspects in order to support the sustainable and profitable growth of the business.

Responsibilities:

• Recommend improvements on financial systems
• Timely and accurate resolution of queries
• Provide timely, valid and accurate financial reporting
• Standard as for everyone
• Prepare the financial part of the 5 year strategic business development plan
• Monitor, interpret & communicate macro-economic trends to management teams
• Ensure that new store viability studies complies with the Return On Investment hurdle rate
• Back-testing on new store viability
• Ensure cash flow
• Coordinate & facilitate the forecasting & budgeting process
• Conduct variance analysis and provide feedback
• Make recommendations on
• cost improvements
• loss making stores
• Build & foster relationships with
• Shoprite Finance Director and Divisional Financial Managers
• Auditors (PWC)
• Ensure
• Management of financial internal control system
• Tax compliance
• IFRS / GAAP compliance
• Coordinate and manage the risk management process for Hungry Lion

Requirements:

• Formal qualification in Finance
• Valid Driver’s license
• Valid Passport
• Must be able to travel extensively
• Must be willing to be based/relocate to Zambia
• 5 years experience in Financial management
• Must be fluent in English
