Description

Responsible for providing friendly, efficient and professional service to the guests for all aspects related to their job function. To be a touch point for the guests at arrival, departure and throughout their stay. To anticipate guest needs and provide guests with the highest level of service while adhering to the organisations high standards.

  • To be an ambassador for their designated areas and the organisation.
  • To always keep the working area clean and well maintained.
  • To use appropriate materials, equipment and supplies for their job function
  • To properly use the telephone etiquette as per the organisations standards.
  • To attend all guests approaching the front desk in the procedure of check-in/check-out, inquiries, key handling and all related matters, respecting the hotel standards and procedures.
  • To respect and follow “Welcome guest / Online check-in” procedures
  •  To offer a warm welcome to all guests and to ensure that they enjoy their stay and are being offered the finest personal service.
  • To respect the privacy of the guests and the confidentiality of the information at hand.
  • To manage any guest complaint in a professional manner, by resolving it, making sure the guest is satisfied, and recording it in the system.
  • To maintain an accurate Guest History ensuring the profiles are correctly updated and merged in order to avoid duplicate profiles and to pre-register all recurring guests
  • To have the confidence to deal with VIP guests in a courteous and professional manner.

  • Able to work well with minimum supervision
  • Must be able to use initiative to provide guests with the best experience within the company jurisdictions

Experience

Experience in a 5 star organisation or luxury brand is preferred.

Skills

  • Computer literate in Microsoft Word
  • Able to use/learn to use Front Office systems
  • Excellent written and spoken English
