TRUCK DRIVER

KEY DUTIES:

• The incumbent will be required to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and legal regulations pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality, as well as finance, human resources, and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function.
• Operate in accordance with assigned route and schedules.
• Monitor loading of the truck to ensure correct quantities and quality product is loaded
• Transport client goods in safe and professional way
• Ensure you check compliance of all regulatory requirements before embarking on a trip including weight of the load and position
• Comply with laid down procedures when driving truck
• Ensure all defects on the truck are reported to workshop immediately
• Maintain and keep all records safe e.g. PODs Receipts of various payments etc.
• Ensure performance targets as per performance contract are achieved all the time
• Perform any other duties as delegated by superiors

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of a Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate;
• Class CE License or D;
• BELSAM/ HAZCHEM;
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience on international routes
