Job Introduction:
National Labour Controller
G4S Secure Solutions (SA), a leading global integrated security solutions company, has a vacancy for a National Labour Controller, based at our offices in Zambezi.
Reporting to the GM: Finance, the National Labour Controller provides an effective administrative service in relation to easy roster reports and system maintenance.
The successful incumbent is a self starter with a proven track record in maintaining company policy, adopting best practices, and is able to exercise sound judgement in the pursuit of the achievement of the goals of the organisation, and understanding the role which Labour Controlling plays within a successful business unit. The incumbent will be expected to be results driven and to live the values of the organisation.
Role Responsibility:
Efficient and effective generation of reports from a variety of databases.
Minimum Requirements:
Qualification and Experience
1. Identify exception that have a negative cost impact or are lost savings through analysis of:
a. Rosters – ensuring optimal rostering in line with contract requirements on shift and grade coverage
b. Weekly Roster changes driving optimal labour
c. Daily Capturing Accuracy and completeness
2. Notify management of the above
3. Track Action
4. Escalate failures to take action to senior management

Ancillary Functions
5. Oversee that weekly time sheet approvals are done
6. Review with finance team dummy reports
7. Involvement in pay queries
a. Analysis
b. Processing
c. Driving Corrective Action
8. Involvement in Triangle balancing
9. Monthly assessment per site of actual vs schedule vs budget wage costs for SPA (suppliments point 1 above)

Role Responsibility:
Efficient and effective generation of reports from a variety of databases.
- Regular report generation in line with weekly and monthly deadlines.
- Ad-hoc reports from multiple databases, as required
- Analysing and comparing data on a variety of reports, designed to highlight labour inefficiencies and errors.
- Comparing easy roster reports over periods of time, tracking trends and generating statistics.
- Communicating results of analysis to relevant management
- Manage decentralized control of contract registers and wage Models
- Ensure the decentralized loading of sundry services onto the rostering system
- Maintain control of wage rules and shift patterns within approved parameters
- Analyse and interpret labour management trends
- Propose recommendations on modifications and controls to management as appropriate
- Implement recommendations and monitor effectiveness
- Ensure compliance to local statutory employment terms in time and attendance system
- Plan, implement and monitor labour training and workshops
- Develop and implement KPI reports as per the G4S Way
- Assist in conducting monthly reviews of wage cost and performance per region with Operations Director and GM Finance
- Report on all discrepancies
- Understanding and complying with relevant procedures and policies
- Maintain administrative reports related to ER database access and administration
- Auditing regional easy roster departments on compliance
- Initiating training on procedure and easy roster for new and existing ER administrators
- Participate in the design/ development/ review/ implementation and monitoring of the branch/ region/ national safety plans for each year.
- Participate in safety forums created by company for example safety meetings and safety talks
- Report all safety incidents to the relevant people
- Discuss all safety incidents on all levels
- Follow-up on any activities assigned through safety meeting/ committee/ representative/ management
- Attend safety education and refresher programmes
- Comply with safety policies and procedures at workplace
- Distribute safety information as and when required
- Wear protective clothing all the time
Minimum Requirements:

- Grade 12 (B. Com preferable)
- Easy Roster training
- Knowledge of Analytical and Statistical procedures and models
