The holder of this position will be required to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and legal regulations pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality as well as finance, human resources, and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function.
Key Responsibilities
- Laboratory sample preparation
- Assisting metallurgists with metallurgical testwork.
- Routine tasks as assigned by metallurgists.
- Hold a degree or diploma in metallurgy or chemical engineering..
- Computer literate with Microsoft excel, word, PowerPoint
Experience
- Experience working in a metallurgical plant would be seen as advantages, but is not essential.
- Experience conducting laboratory flotation test work and working in an operational environment would be an advantage, but not essential.
Operational Requirements
- Valid Silicosis Certificate
