- Manage the day to day Operations of the Mine Maintenance department.
- Provide best equipment performance and high level of customer service to the Mine. (Ultra Class included)
- Ensure safe work practices are established and observed within the maintenance department.
- Provide a high level of support to the Mine Operations Manager and subordinate superintendents to meet their performance goals.
- A degree or diploma (Mechanical / Electrical Engineering) is critical.
- Relevant certification at a supervisory level.
- At least 5+ years in a senior supervisory role.
- Extensive experience with heavy mining equipment including Electric rope or hydraulic Mining Shovels, Electric driven skills, Electric trucks and various ancillary equipment.
- Able to implement and manage high level maintenance strategy and equipment operational and capital budgets.
- Minimum of 8 – 10 years’ experience in a senior maintenance management role.
- Experience in Mining or other heavy industry essential.
- Well organized and process disciplined.
- A good communicator who gives clear, concise instruction.
- A good leader with an excellent ability to coach and mentor a large team of varying trade disciplines.
- A proven ability to lead by example through hard work and commitment the job.
- Good internal relationship building qualities.
