- Install new Instrumentation ensuring both company and vendor safety and quality standards are adhered to, while ensuring minimum disruption to the processing plant operation and production
- Understand the control philosophies of high level data coding into the Processing plant PLC and SCADA systems and be able to operate Instrumentation and Control equipment being installed
- Calibration of all field Instrumentation to the required resolution and accuracy, ensuring the correct hardwired and/or parameter settings for effective functionality with minimal disruption to the processing plant operation
- Ensuring correctly coded parameters in the PLC and SCADA system for display on the HMI units
- Ensure adherence to the Companies’ planned and preventative maintenance schedules and procedures
- Other duties as instructed by the Supervisor
- Minimum Grade 12 / equivalent
- Qualified Instrumentation Technician
- Must have an EIZ certification
- A minimum of 3 years relevant experience as an Instrumentation Technician
- Experience in DCS and SCADA systems, preferably Citect SCADA, and Ethernet Networks
- Knowledge of PLC programming and PLC hardware skills, preferably on Siemens S7series
- Working knowledge of Field Bus systems, Profibus and Modbus will be an advantage
- Experience in Siemens light voltage control systems and Siemens SIMO Code systems will be an advantage
- Previous experience in IGBT controlled PWM variable speed drives will be an advantage
