Web Development Intern

Exponent Technologies is looking for a budding web developer with a keen eye for design to join our Web Design team. In this position, you will work with our team to solve problems and build innovative web solutions. You will contribute to a wide range of projects and will participate in all stages of design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance.

Experience

Proficiency in technical web development tools (WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, XHTML, CSS,JavaScript, etc.) and firm grasp of the back-end and digital space. The right candidate will possess an eagerness to identify, learn, and use new and emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate existing website designs and look for ways to improve them.
• Learn website hosting concepts and multi-server development environments.
• Design web advertisements, banner ads, and corporate identities to match look and feel of brands.
• Learn project and task management processes

Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess the necessary qualifications or should be in a university/college program and/or available for part-time work for at least three months. In addition, the ideal candidate should have:

• Excellent organizational skills and an acute attention to detail.
• Competence in all basic office programs, such as Word and Excel.
• Ability to effectively navigate the internet and social networking sites for research and promotion.
• An eagerness to learn, ability to work independently, and readiness for responsibility.
• Assisting with client communications.
• Assisting with overall office organization – paperwork, filing, errands, etc.
• Excellent communication skills, as well as writing and editing skills.

Compensation

Commission-based and an extensive amount to be taken from this experience. This position has the potential to lead to full-time employment with Exponent Technologies.
