Expanded Church Response (ECR) is a faith-based organization implementing: Orphans and Vulnerable Children, Gender-Based Violence and HIV/AIDS programs amongst others to mitigate human suffering and bring transformational development.

ECR has implemented programs funded by USAID, European Union, UNICEF, and Global Fund either directly or through a range of highly regarded local and international organizations. Working with partners like these, the private sector, and government, we are seeing communities awakened to new ways of improving the quality of life for the most vulnerable, and rise up to be the key to their own transformation.

ECR is seeking for a qualified staff to fill in the following Lusaka based position.

Project Coordinator – HIV treatment & GBV Prevention (1) – S/he will oversee the implementation of quality GBV prevention and response activities, building capacity and promote messaging on GBV. Will be a focal person for all GBV related activities and referrals for HIV case management and disease control. S/he will provide technical support and oversee implementation of GBV and HIV activities for the provision of quality HIV treatment to adolescents, men, and their families. S/he will closely work with the faith community and community volunteers and will coordinate with the Ministry of Health, treatment partners, and support District Coordinators with information and guidance on program and national priorities, and evidence-based strategies. Work closely with the team leaders and stakeholders to understand program goals and to meet expectations. Contribute to ongoing assessments and analyses to better understand protection risks, to map points of service for survivors of GBV and vulnerable individuals, and to identify support structures. Analyze trends of GBV and develop/adjust program strategies to meet needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Social Work, Public Health, International Development or other relevant field of study. Master’s degree will be an advantage.
  • Three years’ experience in GBV program design and implementation, including at least one year in HIV/AIDS
  • Proven knowledge and experience in developing and implementing community mobilization projects
  • Supervisory experience
  • Familiarity with standards and guidelines for GBV programming and coordination
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
