Junior-Advisor (f/m/d) Monitoring, Evaluation and Communication with focus on agriculture

- Implement outcome oriented monitoring concept, follow progress on achievements of goals as well as review and feedback on progress reports
- Support the data collection processes of the outcome indicators (questionnaire creation, data collection design, training and supervision of enumerators, data cleaning, calculate outcome indicators) and other relevant data (also qualitative)
- Provide data to report outcome indicators yearly and output indicators bi-annually and participate actively in monthly GIC Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) meetings
- Support M&E activities with implementing partners and create M&E framework (logframe) with new partners
- Conduct field visits when necessary and review studies (i.e. baseline etc.) implemented by partners
- Accompany the process of introducing information and communication technology (ICT) based M&E tools in the partner’s M&E structure
- Create and maintain up to date project related communication material such as brochures, flyers, fact sheets, PowerPoint presentations, etc.
- Storing of information regularly in document management system as well as take on other technical, administrative and logistical tasks for general support of the team
- Master degree in (agriculture or development) economics, sustainable/rural development, agricultural sciences or a related field
- Experience in monitoring and evaluation (particularly data analysis, data base management and questionnaire design) including sounds statistical knowledge base
- Basic knowledge in agriculture and good understanding of the rural, agricultural environment, preferably in Sub-Saharan Africa
- Experience in digital solutions and their applications in rural development
- Experience in managing, processing and communicating data and qualitative information in a user-friendly way, using ICTs if suitable
- Ability to design and manage efficient and effective flows of information and mastery of the necessary technical tools
- First experiences with GIZ standards in project management and CapacityWORKS is beneficial
- Good analytical skills and good writing and editing skills, ability to work accurately under time pressure as well as strong intercultural competencies and ability to work with local partners
- Mastery language skills in German and English (C2)
