The Trainer and Assessor (Heavy Equipment Repair) will be tasked with the responsibility of providing effective training services and to assist in ensuring efficient running of the training department operations by assessing trainees performances against agreed standards as well as identifying training needs, effectively and efficiently delivering complete and appropriate training and assessment sessions.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Planning, development and delivery of integrated, competence based training programs
Providing and supporting training to agreed schedules
Conducting training needs analyses as required and ensuring validity of training programs
Facilitating industrial attachments by securing training placements with stakeholders, ensuring that there are satisfactory training arrangements, and that accurate records are kept
Developing and implementing a specialist mobile plant maintenance assessment system / program for mining maintenance staff to assess previously gained training and certification
Undertaking initial assessments of new learners with no prior training / learning
Supervising learners in the learning environment and considering the health and safety and safe working practices of that environment
Providing of expert technical support and advice, when required to the engineering maintenance department staff
Providing of on-going technical support to employees who have received training
CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION
Experience: 5 years
Education Level: Diploma Level
Qualifications: Relevant trade qualification in instrumentation procedures for mine mobile and fixed plant is required.
Software: Computer Skills (word processing, spread-sheets, presentations, databases etc.)
Equipment: Job related
Knowledge Of: Training package development and learning systems.
Skills To: Outstanding organizational and leadership
Ability To: Develop and implement training programs from inception is a distinct advantage
Personality: Clear and concise report writing skills
